Vai al moduloThe TeleVue Nagler 14mm Type 7 is the new generation of Nagler designed for eyeglass wearers: a 2" barrel combining an 82° apparent field of view with a generous 19mm of eye relief across the whole Type 7 line, ideal for wide-field deep-sky observing with rich contrast.
Successor to the Apollo 11, optimised for eyeglass wearers
The Type 7 series was developed as an extension of the highly acclaimed, limited-edition Apollo 11 eyepiece (85° field) and of the long-eye-relief concept introduced by the Nagler Type 4. TeleVue's goal: match or exceed the Apollo 11's performance in full-field sharpness, contrast, distortion correction and pupil comfort, across an 82° apparent field instead of 85°.
Adjustable, locking eyecup
Unlike the Nagler Type 5/6 with their fold-down rubber eyecup, the Type 7 features an adjustable, locking eyecup: it helps position the eye correctly relative to the exit pupil, preventing you from crowding the eye lens and blocking stray peripheral light. It's also compatible with the Dioptrx astigmatism-correction system (adapter sold separately).
2" barrel and parfocality
Unlike the 5.5mm and 9mm models, the 14mm Type 7 features a fixed 2" barrel (not convertible to 1.25"). The whole Type 7 series is parfocal across all four focal lengths (5.5/9/14/19mm) and, via the TeleVue Hi-Hat adapter, also with most 1.25" TeleVue eyepieces.
