The ToupTek 678M is a monochrome CMOS astronomy camera designed for high-resolution planetary imaging and precision autoguiding. Thanks to the Sony IMX678 STARVIS 2 sensor, it offers a peak quantum efficiency above 83%, low read noise, and wide dynamic range – ideal for detailed captures of planets, the Moon, and the Sun.
With a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels (8.29 MP) and 2 μm pixels, the ToupTek 678M delivers exceptionally detailed planetary images on long focal length telescopes. The STARVIS 2 sensor is three times more efficient than the previous generation with significantly reduced dark current.
Connections and Guiding
The USB 3.0 Type-B port ensures fast frame download without frame loss. The ST4 port allows direct connection to the equatorial mount for autoguiding. Lightweight at just 90 g with a 31.8 mm (1.25") barrel.
