The L filter acts as a UV-IR cut filter, transmitting only visible light between 420 nm and 685 nm at 98% efficiency, improving image sharpness and contrast.
Included Filters and Spectral Ranges:
- L (Luminance) — 420–685 nm, integrated UV-IR cut, transmission 98%
- R (Red) — 590–700 nm, preserves H-alpha and SII emissions
- G (Green) — 490–580 nm, cuts sodium and mercury light pollution
- B (Blue) — 400–510 nm, useful for H-beta emission at 486 nm (e.g. Horsehead Nebula)
