The TS-Optics 20 mm M48 extension tube is designed to precisely extend accessories equipped with a M48x0.75 (2") filter thread. This adapter increases the optical spacing by 20 mm, allowing accurate adjustment of the distance between optical components in a telescope accessory chain.
Double-sided M48 male/female thread
The extension features a double-sided M48x0.75 filter thread, with female threading on one side and male threading on the other. It can be screwed directly into the M48 filter thread of 2" eyepieces or 2" adapters, extending the barrel and improving the fitting accuracy between adapters and accessories.
Important for astrophotography spacing
In astrophotography setups, the correct distance between a corrector and the camera sensor is often critical. Even a few millimetres can influence the final optical performance. The M48 20 mm extension allows precise spacing when working with accessories using M48 or 2" filter thread connections.
Durable metal construction
The adapter is manufactured from metal with black anodized finish, ensuring mechanical strength and helping reduce unwanted internal reflections within the optical path.
