The ZWO ASI183MC belongs to the ASI 183 series, among the most sensitive cameras in ZWO's history: the sensor reaches a peak quantum efficiency of 84%! The back-illuminated (BSI) Sony IMX183CQJ-J color sensor, with tiny 2.4 μm pixels, still delivers a particularly high full well capacity of 15,000 electrons.
Sony's Exmor technology makes this camera perfect for deep sky, with the convenience of one-shot color imaging, without having to manage filters and filter wheels. The high frame rate is also useful for solar and lunar photography, supporting both real-time focusing and Lucky Imaging for planets and double stars.
