The ZWO ASI585MC is a next-generation OSC (One-Shot Color) astronomy camera equipped with the Sony IMX585 STARVIS 2 sensor. Sony IMX585 STARVIS 2: Triple Efficiency
The IMX585 STARVIS 2 sensor delivers key improvements over the ASI485MC: lower dark current, triple the full well capacity, and higher NIR sensitivity above 850 nm — up to 1.5× greater. The built-in HCG mode reduces read noise at high gain to just 1.5e⁻ while maintaining wide dynamic range.
256 MB DDR3 Cache and USB 3.0
The integrated 256 MB DDR3 cache and USB 3.0 interface ensure stable, reliable data transfer with no frame drops, even during long imaging sessions.
