The ZWO ASI585MM Air is an advanced 3-in-1 imaging solution designed for high-performance astrophotography. It combines a cooled monochrome imaging camera with the Sony IMX585 sensor, a highly sensitive SC2210 guiding sensor, and a fully integrated ASIAIR Mini controller. This all-in-one design reduces the need for additional equipment such as off-axis guiders or separate guide cameras, minimizing complexity and cable management.
Cooled Monochrome Imaging System
The Sony IMX585 monochrome sensor with STARVIS 2 technology provides high quantum efficiency, low noise, and excellent sensitivity across wavelengths used in deep-sky astrophotography. The TEC cooling system lowers the sensor temperature by up to -35°C below ambient, ensuring cleaner images during long exposures. The automatic HCG mode, active from Gain 200, reduces read noise to approximately 1 e⁻ while preserving a wide dynamic range.
Integrated SC2210 Guiding Sensor
The integrated guiding sensor is derived from the ASI220MM Mini, offering a peak QE of 92% at 500 nm, a minimum read noise of 0.6 e⁻, and excellent guiding performance even on faint stars. Its direct integration eliminates the need for ST-4 connections or external guiding software.
ASIAIR Integration for Full Wireless Control
The integrated ASIAIR Mini enables complete wireless control of the imaging setup via dual-band Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The ASIAIR app provides full control of imaging, guiding, mount operations, filter wheel, and focuser management, along with live stacking, instant adjustments, and continuous OTA updates introducing new features over time.
Connectivity and Storage
The ASI585MM Air offers extensive connectivity options for accessories and power management. The built-in 256 GB eMMC storage and support for external USB drives up to 1 TB allow long imaging sessions without the need for additional devices.

Recommended Storage
To avoid moisture issues, store the camera in an airtight container with silica gel. For extended use, wrap the focuser area with protective film and place silica gel nearby to maintain a dry micro-environment around the camera.
