The ZWO ASI678MC is one of the latest color cameras designed for high-resolution planetary and solar imaging. Equipped with the advanced Sony IMX678 STARVIS 2 sensor, it delivers outstanding sensitivity, extremely low noise, and exceptional detail—ideal for astrophotographers who demand top performance and image precision.
Featuring a USB 3.0 interface, the ASI678MC ensures ultra-fast data transfer and prevents frame loss during high-speed captures. The 8.29 MP sensor with 2 µm pixels provides fine detail and high quantum efficiency, reaching a QE peak of 83%.
The new STARVIS 2 sensor is up to three times more efficient than the one used in the ASI178MC and offers significantly lower dark current. This results in excellent image quality even under low-light conditions and superior thermal noise control.
