Vai al moduloThe ZWO EFW 5×1.25" (Electronic Filter Wheel) is a compact motorised filter wheel designed for astrophotographers using ZWO ASI cameras. With 5 positions for 1.25" or unmounted 31 mm filters, it enables automatic filter changes — LRGB, narrowband Ha/SII/OIII — without touching the optics and without losing focus. It is powered and controlled directly via the built-in USB-C hub of the ASI camera, eliminating extra cables.
Automatic filter changes, always in focus
The high-precision stepper motor reaches each position repeatably and silently. Filters sit only 10 mm from the sensor, eliminating any risk of vignetting even with fast focal ratio telescopes. The total optical path length is 20 mm.
T2 connection and ASIAIR integration
Both telescope-side and camera-side connections use the T2 (M42×0.75) standard, compatible with virtually all ASI cameras. The EFW 5×1.25" integrates natively with ASIAIR Mini, ASIAIR Plus, and ASIAIR Pro for automated filter sequences. An adapter is included in the box.
Aluminium build, lightweight
The CNC-machined aluminium body ensures rigidity and thermal stability during long imaging sessions. At just 300 g, it is ideal for compact mounts and travel setups. Power draw of 120 mA makes it compatible with any USB hub or power bank.
