Vai al moduloThe ZWO EFW 5×2" (Electronic Filter Wheel) is a 5-position motorised filter wheel designed for astrophotography with 2" filters — the most widely used format among amateur and semi-professional astrophotographers. With 5 slots for 2" filters (M48×0.75) or unmounted 50 mm filters, it enables automatic switching through a complete LRGB or narrowband sequence (Ha, SII, OIII) without touching the optics and without losing focus. Powered and controlled directly via the built-in USB-C hub of the ASI camera.
2" filters: the universal format for astrophotography
The EFW 5×2" is the natural choice for standard 2" filters with M48×0.75 thread — narrowband Ha, SII, OIII or LRGB — thanks to the widest market availability. The precision stepper motor reaches each position repeatably and silently. Filters sit only 10 mm from the sensor, eliminating vignetting even with fast telescopes.
T2 connection and native ASIAIR integration
Both connections are T2 (M42×0.75). The EFW 5×2" integrates natively with ASIAIR Mini, ASIAIR Plus and ASIAIR Pro for fully automated filter sequences. Optical length: 20 mm. T2 adapter included.
CNC aluminium body, ideal weight-to-rigidity ratio
CNC-machined aluminium body for structural rigidity and thermal stability. Weight 540 g, power draw 120 mA via USB-C — compatible with any hub or power bank.
