The ZWO filter drawer for Canon EF lenses is a modular accessory designed to insert 2" interference filters (50.8 mm) into the optical path between a Canon EF photographic lens and a cooled ZWO astronomy camera. Built for wide-field astrophotography with photographic lenses, it provides a stable, lightweight, and highly compatible system across the full range of cooled ZWO cameras, DUO and AIR cameras.
Compatibility with Cooled ZWO Cameras, DUO and AIR
The filter drawer is compatible with all cooled ZWO cameras with a backfocus of 17.5 mm, excluding GT versions. Connection is made via T2 thread (M42×0.75) directly for models ASI1600, ASI294, ASI183 and ASI533. For full-frame cameras such as ASI6200, ASI2600, ASI2400 and ASI071, the M54 male > M42 female adapter (M54M-M42F) is included in the package. ZWO DUO and AIR cameras with M54 connection require the optional adapter ZWO-FD-Adapter-M54, which is not included.
Magnetic System for Fast and Secure Filter Changes
The integrated magnets in the filter drawer hold the 2" filter securely in position during imaging sessions, eliminating the risk of misalignment while allowing straightforward filter swaps without interrupting the session. The system is compatible with all ZWO 2" filters and the vast majority of standard third-party 2" filters.

The ZWO filter drawer supports three distinct operating configurations depending on the camera in use:
- ASI1600 / ASI294 / ASI183 / ASI533: direct connection via M42 thread
- ASI6200 / ASI2600 / ASI2400 / ASI071: via included M54M-M42F adapter
- ZWO DUO and AIR cameras with M54 connection: via optional adapter ZWO-FD-Adapter-M54 (not included)
