Vai al moduloZWO Seestar S50 Pro – All-in-One 4K Smart Telescope with 50mm APO Optics
The ZWO Seestar S50 Pro is the new generation of ZWO's all-in-one smart telescope, built to bring amateur astrophotography to a professional level. Compared to previous Seestar models, the S50 Pro introduces a larger 50mm optical aperture, a dual 4K sensor, a high-capacity battery and a precision equatorial tracking system, all packed into one compact device ready to use in minutes.
Designed for astronomy enthusiasts, astrophotographers and travelling observers, it captures deep-sky objects, Milky Way panoramas and Sun and Moon detail without mounts, cables or extra accessories.
50mm Apochromatic Optics: More Light, More Detail
At the optical heart of the Seestar S50 Pro is a 4-element apochromatic (APO) lens with Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass, engineered to eliminate chromatic aberration and deliver sharp, round stars all the way to the edge of the field. The 50mm aperture gathers nearly three times more light than the previous 30mm model, significantly improving results on faint deep-sky targets and on fine Sun and Moon detail.
The optical system offers a dual configuration: a 260mm focal length at f/5.2 for the telephoto lens (880mm equivalent) and a 6mm focal length at f/1.75 for the wide-angle lens (35mm equivalent), for maximum versatility between close-up capture and wide panoramas.
Dual 4K 8.3MP Sensor
The telescope integrates two CMOS sensors, each with 8.3 megapixels and 4K UHD resolution. The 1/1.2" telephoto sensor (2.9μm pixels) is optimised for galaxies, nebulae and star clusters with a 2.8° field of view; the 1/2" wide-angle sensor (1.6μm pixels) covers a 63° field, ideal for the Milky Way, star trails and night landscapes. Supported formats: JPEG and FITS for images, MP4 and AVI for video.
Built-in Filters and Optical Protection
The S50 Pro includes a UV/IR-cut filter on both optics, a dual-band light pollution filter (OIII 30nm / Hα 20nm, telephoto only) and a dark frame filter for noise subtraction on long exposures. A magnetic solar filter is also included for safe solar observation.
Smart Shooting Modes and DSO Mosaic
Four modes cover every observing scenario: Deep Sky with automatic tracking and stacking, Milky Way with mosaic and stitching up to 8K, Solar System for the Sun, Moon and planets, and Landscape for day and night shots. The telephoto DSO mosaic function widens the framed field while preserving detail, with output up to 8K for deep-sky targets and lunar surfaces.
AI and Automatic Post-Processing
A database of over 80,000 deep-sky objects and hundreds of thousands of stars enables one-tap GOTO from the app. AI noise reduction, automatic star removal and extraction, cropping, and brightness, contrast and saturation adjustments deliver professional results with one tap, or full manual control when you want it. Intelligent constellation recognition and the AI voice assistant also guide less experienced users in discovering the sky.
Sky-Ground Separation and Automatic Star Trails
The foreground freeze function detects and locks the foreground landscape, processing it separately from the moving night sky, for crisp astro-landscape shots both in the sky and on the ground. Long-exposure star trail sequences can be automatically turned into dynamic time-lapse videos of the moving sky.
Equatorial Mode and Precision Tracking
The Seestar S50 Pro is fitted with a near-zero backlash precision drive system that, combined with Equatorial Mode, offsets Earth's rotation for smoother, more stable tracking, enabling longer exposures with targets staying "still" in frame. The new upgraded tripod offers more shooting angles and more balanced three-point support for maximum stability.
Plan Mode: Automated All-Night Shooting
With Plan Mode, you can generate a shooting plan with one tap and let the telescope run unattended all night, automatically switching between targets to capture more celestial objects in sequence.
Long Battery Life and Built-in Storage
The 10,000mAh battery delivers up to 9 hours of runtime (ZWO lab test data), ideal for extended sessions while camping or observing away from home. The 128GB eMMC internal memory (around 100GB usable) removes the need for external memory cards. Charging is via USB-C (5V/3A or 12V/3A).
Connectivity, Remote Control and Advanced Features
Control is via the Seestar app for iOS and Android, with dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi (up to 10m range), Bluetooth (up to 5m) and NFC for quick pairing. Remote control via Seestar Network lets you observe from anywhere by connecting to a device in a location with better sky conditions. For advanced users, the S50 Pro supports the open ASCOM Alpaca protocol and integrates with third-party software such as N.I.N.A., opening the door to automated observation workflows.
