Vai al moduloComplete set of three narrowband filters for SHO imaging
IDAS's SHO set brings together three interference filters dedicated to the narrowband imaging technique known as the Hubble palette: ionized hydrogen (H-alpha), doubly ionized oxygen (OIII), and ionized sulfur (SII). Combining the three monochrome exposures in false color produces very high-contrast images of emission nebulae, with a distinctive color rendition highly valued in deep-sky astrophotography. This M52 threaded-mount version is suitable for cameras and filter wheels with a threaded connection.
Narrow, targeted transmission bands
Each filter isolates a very small portion of the spectrum around its own emission line, blocking nearly all stray light from light pollution and airglow. This makes the set particularly effective even from urban or suburban skies, where traditional broadband filters perform less well.
IGAD coating for long-term stability
Like the other filters in the IDAS range, the SHO set uses IGAD coating technology, which ensures a transmission curve that stays stable over time even under strong temperature and humidity swings.
